
The New York City Streaming Open Mic Guide
As COVID-19 has made performing in-person largely a difficult proposition at best, we provide a list of streaming open-mics, along with general directions on how to join them below. Please e-mail us at bcfolkweb@gmail.com if you have information on others!
MONDAY:
- 7:30 pm- ??, Open Mic Zoomburg – Hosted by the illustrious Dan Costello, former host of the Tuesday Teacup and Goodbye Blue Monday Open Mic.

TUESDAY:
- 9 pm – 11 pm, Stranger Times w/ Phoebe Blue Open Mic – Hosted by Antifolk musician and poet Phoebe Blue!

- 9 pm – 2 am, The Mic Under St. Marks – A continuation of The Open Mic at Under St. Marks. The host, Dan Ricker, says you can join at 9 pm, with the open mic starting at around 9:45 pm.

WEDNESDAY:
- 5 pm – 10 pm, Incidental Music Open Mic! Outside at The Shillelagh Tavern – The Shillelagh Tavern has perhaps the only in-person open mic, which takes place outside. Hosted by the Astoria Music Collective. The open mic is acoustic, with limited amplification, and performers are encouraged to bring their own microphones for performance (though the microphone is sanitized in between performances). Performers are, of course, also advised to wear their mask, and follow social distancing guidelines.
