Premiere: “Songbird” by Evan Alexander Moore

Politics is an infamously difficult beast to tame with music, but Evan Alexander makes a play at this challenge with his upcoming release, The Perennial Millenial. (release date tbd). As part of that release, Evan premieres the first single, entitled “Songbird”, off of that record with Big City Folks. While much modern political songwriting goes for an easy political chant, Evan opts for a more cryptic storytelling, in this case illustrating the ways in which history tends to repeat itself. A transplant from Texas, when not working on his songwriting, Evan is studying for a degree in Counseling at NYU. Evan is promoting the single and upcoming release with a show on March 3, 10 pm at Silvana. You can find the song on bandcamp.
